Together we set a very specific goal, place, and time to meet. Fees are $50.00 per hour.
Hire a Private Genealogist – 2-Tiered Fee - Together we set a very specific goal with a measurable outcome, a report format, and a research timeframe. The fee starts at $25.00 per hour plus expenses if applicable for researching the in the big three databases: Ancestry.com, FamilySearch.org and MyHeritage. We will come to an agreement before any work is begun and/or any extra expenses beyond the hourly rate would be incurred. If the research becomes more complex and moves beyond the three big databases, and then the fee is $50 per hour plus expenses if applicable. We will come to an agreement before any work is begun and/or any extra expenses beyond the hourly rate would be incurred.

- a researcher who wants to know where to go next to find a specific document or pick up a new lead
- plan a research location trip so you are ready to research when you get there
- a genealogist who needs to search for a record and mail away for it but does not have the time or is out of her expertise area

- Please do 4 hours of updates on my ancestry.com tree for the Clark line following the hints and making all the source connections in the personal profiles.
- Please find all the primary source documents in the ancestry.com and familysearch.org databases for Rebecca Stuart. I only have her father and mother’s name. Please do 5 hours of research.
- Please find out for me the best way to get a birth certificate for Marsha Williams from Albany City, NY.
- I have searched the two main databases for the Jacob Wooley family. Where do I go from here?
- I am planning a trip to Louisville, KY. Where will I need to go to do some family research?
Please note: Research services may include the following reports. The exact nature of your service report will be delineated in writing before service begins.
- Ongoing email updates as research progresses
- Emailed final summary of the completed research, referencing the documents and details found
- Emailed research journal, detailing all paths followed during the research
- Digital copies of all images, documents, transcriptions, and/or other items uncovered
- Detailed expense report listing the items purchased or costs incurred such as money orders, printing, mailing supplies etc.
